Setting Up Email on an Android Phone

You can configure your created email accounts in various email apps on your Android phone. This guide uses the Gmail app. If you use a different email app available for Android, the process will largely be the same. For this, you can use our recommended settings.

Important
If you want to receive emails on multiple devices, we recommend choosing IMAP instead of POP on all devices. This way, you can also use webmail.

Setting Up the Gmail App
It’s possible to configure an email account based on your domain name as a POP or IMAP account in the Gmail app. The Gmail app comes pre-installed on every Android phone. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to do this:

Open the Gmail app and tap your profile picture in the top-right corner. Then select the option "Add another account."

The following screen will appear:

Select the option 'Other'.

Enter the email address you’d like to configure on your Android phone, then tap 'Next'.

Select the option 'Personal (IMAP)'.

Enter the password for your email address. This is the password you set for this email account during its creation in Plesk. Then tap 'Next'.

In the next screen, you’ll need to fill in the incoming server settings:

Username: Enter your full email address.
Password: Enter the password for the email address.
Server: Enter the server name of your hosting. Check server name

Once you’ve completed the settings, tap 'Next'.

Next, you’ll need to fill in the outgoing mail server settings:

Require login: Yes (check this option).
Username: Enter your full email address.
Password: Enter the password for the email address.
Server: Enter the server name of your hosting. Check server name

Once you’ve completed these settings, tap 'Next' again.

You can now configure various additional settings for the email account. Adjust these as desired, then tap 'Next'.

If desired, you can change the account name and your display name before completing the configuration. Tap 'Next' to finalize the last step.
